RDP Proxy Configuration
This page is used to configure the RDP Proxy for native remote sessions available to this site.
RDP Proxy Parameters
The following parameters are included in the RDP Proxy configuration.
Server Port: The port number of the RDP Proxy server that accepts connections. This can only be changed from the /base
tenant.
RDP Protocol Level: This setting determines the authentication method used during the RDP connection process. Selecting the appropriate protocol level helps ensure secure and compatible communication between the client and the remote system. If you're unsure, start with Network Level Authentication and switch to Extended NLA if additional authentication support is needed.
- Network Level Authentication: This is a standard security feature in modern RDP implementations. With NLA, authentication occurs before a full remote desktop session is established, helping to reduce resource usage and mitigate certain types of attacks. This option ensures compatibility with most Windows servers and environments that support RDP with NLA enabled.
- Extended Network Level Authentication: This mode builds on standard NLA, enabling enhanced security and compatibility with additional authentication mechanisms or server configurations. Use this option if your environment requires, and supports, advanced authentication features beyond basic NLA.
Connection Keep Alive: This setting controls whether the RDP client will actively maintain the connection to the remote server by sending periodic keep-alive signals. Enabling Connection Keep Alive is recommended in environments where network stability is a concern or where sessions must remain active during periods of low activity.
Key Activation: Displays the time when the key pair became active.
Key Expiration Displays the time when the key pair will expire.
Provide Your Key Pair: With this option Disabled (default state) the system will generate a new key pair or keep the current key pair on file when saving the configuration. Enable this option to provide a custom public and private key with the private key password.
Enabled: Enable this configuration to make it available for use. Disable this configuration to remove it from use without requiring it to be deleted.
