Release notes for the January 12, 2025 update

Update Version 4.1.202501101840

New Features

Added support for continuous asset import.

The option enables continuous discovery of new resources in LDAP, AWS and VMWare sources with the options to validate the source data, update the asset database while applying metadata, intelligent tagging rules, and triggering script executions.

The continuous discovery follows flexible schedule specifications with the options to limit hours or days to run the import process.

Added the option to suggest network segmentation based on detected connections and tagging.

The option simplifies design of microsegmentation policies by automatically partitioning assets based on the network connections collected from the asset endpoints, asset tagging (optionally) and analytical models defining segmentation parameters.

The application visualizes automatically generated partitions (clusters) on the Network Traffic Flow chart to suggests the ways to enhance asset tagging and create segmentation policies.

Network architects might try various analytical models to find the best approach to network segmentation such as partitioning the network on few broad segments as opposed to many fine-grained ones, to consider tagging for automatic partitioning or to rely mostly on the existing network traffic.

Automatic segmentation suggestions provide a good option to understand the network structure, resource dependencies, and to refine segmentation policies started with the suggested point.

Security

  • Updated REST API framework component to the latest version.

  • Updated HTTP communication component to the latest version.

Fixes

  • Fixed the issue with event log reporting about failure to create new taxonomy.

  • Fixed the issue with displaying search center on the Network Traffic Flow chart.

Release notes for the January 5, 2025 update

Update Version 4.1.202501031418

New Features

Added the option to filter Network Traffic Flow chart

The option allows to simplify a complex Network Traffic Flow chart by displaying only assets, hosts and connections relevant to the selected search criteria. Filters enable to focus or to broad the endpoints connections view following the search criteria while the search display view allows to observe the search results in the broad context.

Added the option to search or filter Network Traffic Flow chart by service.

The option allows to focus Network Traffic Flow on the assets and connections related to selected ports and services.

Extensions

  • Added the option to lock Network Traffic Flow Chart for zoom and pan to avoid accidental operations while scrolling the browser window.

  • Changed Export to SVG button to become an icon-only button.

  • Added the option to reset the Network Traffic Flow chart to its initial position.

  • Added support to display Intelligent Tagging Rule description on the rule editing screen.

  • Updated application expiration message

  • Added support for automatic suggestion of the Same or Exact match for the selected source based on the whether selected term has children or is a leaf term.
