Update Version 4.1.202412201927
The option to visualize a segmentation policy on the Network Traffic Flow chart highlights target assets for the selected policy. Additionally, for each interactively selected target asset the option highlights the group of source assets allowed to connect to it following the rules of the selected policy.
The policy visualization option allows the network architect to analyze the connections that will be allowed after the policy publishing, the connections that would be dropped and the connections that did happen in the past but will be dropped (or allowed) when the policy will be enforced.
The option simplifies design process of Segmentation Policies by enabling the architect to visually define policy targets using Network Traffic Flow chart with graphically highlighted targets.
The intelligent policy creation mechanism suggests the service on the policy as well as the source assets selection based on the collected connections data displayed by the Network Traffic Flow chart.
The Asset Segmentation view of the Network Traffic Flow Chart displays all assets in the selected container even without detected connections including display of the connections that was detected during data collection from the asset endpoints..
The Asset Segmentation view allows comprehensive visualization of the effects of the segmentation policies for all assets involved in the network communications whether detected in the past or allowed in the future after publishing the policies and enforcing them on the asset.
Like the Network Traffic Flow chart itself, the Asset Segmentation view allows drilling-down through the container hierarchy, visual asset search, policy visualization, interactive conversion of host endpoints to new assets or network locations, mass asset tagging, promoting and policy creation.
