AccessWall Quick Start¶
Two step-by-step guides walk you through standing up your first AccessWall Enterprise deployment from scratch — installing the application, defining your initial assets and tags, building segmentation policies, monitoring traffic, and enforcing your first rules.
These guides cover AccessWall Enterprise, the premium tier that adds full asset-level network visibility, observed-connection mapping, policy simulation before enforcement, segmentation analytics, and service-request workflows for time-bound exceptions. The basic AccessWall tier is included with 12Port PAM and doesn't require a separate Quick Start; see the module overview to get going.

Pick the guide that matches the operating system of the assets you'll be segmenting first:
- AccessWall Enterprise Quick Start Guide — Windows — for managing Windows assets via WinRM and PowerShell
- AccessWall Enterprise Quick Start Guide — Linux — for managing Linux assets via SSH
Each guide is roughly 30 to 40 minutes of reading plus hands-on time. You can work through both back-to-back if your environment includes a mix of Windows and Linux assets — the concepts are the same, only the integration mechanics differ.
Before you begin¶
- A 12Port PAM tenant with AccessWall Enterprise licensed. See the License page for tier activation.
- An asset designated as your application server — the host where 12Port is installed.
- One or two additional managed assets in your environment (the guides use a Production server and a Development server example).
- Administrator credentials on those managed assets, plus network reachability from the application server.
